A history of stewardship.
Singh takes its role as a steward of the environment seriously. In every project we undertake and each community we operate, we carefully consider the environmental implications of our actions, seeking to create a legacy of sustainable growth with minimal impact. Developing and integrating environmentally friendly construction and management practices is one of our top priorities.
We have a variety of initiatives already in place across the company to reduce our impact on the environment. All Singh homes are designed to meet the Singh Energy Efficiency standard, which means that your new Singh home can be 20-30% more efficient than a standard home. From high-performance insulation and windows to the comfort and efficiency of a Nelson Energy Seal®, to maximum efficiency heating and cooling equipment, your new home will have the energy-saving features that provide comfort and save you money now and for years to come.
Some of Singh’s other sustainable efforts in our multi-family and Waltonwood communities include reducing consumptive water use by integrating new water-saving procedures in our operations, LED lighting throughout the buildings, using products with natural or recycled components in new development projects wherever possible, self-moving toward paperless administrative systems and more. As we move forward with new projects, we are developing ENERGY STAR® compliant apartment communities which include design features that are intended to not only lessen our environmental impact, but save our residents money into the future. We are also increasing building insulation to meet and exceed code requirements, installing ENERGY STAR® appliances and higher efficiency furnaces with fully insulated and sealed duct work. In new developments when possible we are installing a well-water irrigation system that increases overall efficiency by reducing the impact on city water systems.
Today our commitment to sustainability is stronger than ever and we will continue to seek out new and better ways to balance community and resident needs with those of the environment.
