History of Waltonwood Waltonwood senior living communities are owned and managed by Waltonwood Services LLC, a division of Singh - a local, family owned and operated builder/ developer that has been providing premier exceptional residential housing and premier office space in the metropolitan Detroit area for more than 30 years. The first Waltonwood opened its doors in 1987 conveniently located in Rochester Hills, Michigan on Walton Blvd and Adams Rd.( That is how the name was derived "Walton"woods.) Around the early 1990's the concept of assisted living was strong in the marketplace. Waltonwood realized that as their independent residents aged, they would need to move to another level of care and receive more assistance with their activities of daily living. Waltonwood decided to venture into assisted living to better help the need of others. In 2000 , due to the influx of individuals suffering from dementia/Alzheimer, Waltonwood decided to take our services one step forward and created a family style environment to better service the needs of our Alzheimer residents. Since then Waltonwood has progressed ahead and developed six more senior living communities each one adding new features, amenities and services
to ensure Waltonwood evolves and meets the ever changing needs of its market needs. Mission To ensure each resident and family member is treated with dignity and respect.
